A Quick Update

Hello, long time no see! I just wanted to give a quick update about some things that have happened in my life—nothing major, but I think it's worth mentioning.

I started reading Tolkien’s books. I began with The Hobbit and plan to finish with The Lord of the Rings. It's a really fun book, especially for someone like me who enjoys medieval fantasy. I think the reading experience is great, aside from a few difficult words that pop up here and there. The only problem is that I read pretty slowly, but I'm making progress.

Another thing: I finished watching Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, and here’s a brief review (spoiler-free). The series has its strengths. Since it's an OVA, the animation is very well done, and the soundtrack is excellent too. I really like how the anime portrays the daily lives of soldiers and how they live amid the conflict. The story is clearly inspired by settings like the Vietnam War, and maybe it’s a bit more realistic? That doesn’t make much of a difference to me, but maybe you’d appreciate it.

Another thing I really liked was how the Gundams are portrayed. There's special attention given to the mechanics of the Mobile Suits—they feel big and heavy, like they actually exist in that world. It’s not a bad series—on the contrary, it's a good one for those looking for something more “realistic.” It has its flaws; for me, the story has a few weak moments. Overall, I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5.

The only problem now is that I’m kind of lost on which Gundam to watch next. I used to follow a video on YouTube from a channel that helped me with that, but it seems the video is gone, because I can’t find it anymore. So at the moment, I have no idea what to watch next.

And finally, I found an iPod Nano lying around. Maybe it belonged to a family member, I’m not sure. I’ve never had an iPod before, and I thought it was cool to have one. It’s kind of boring compared to other models since it doesn’t have a screen, but it’s still something fun to use. It might even help me get into the habit of listening to more music, since I don’t usually do that.

One downside: I just can’t figure out how to download music and transfer it to the iPod on Linux. It’s a shame, since Linux is my main operating system and I’m not a fan of Windows. But maybe I’ll find a solution.

Other than that, life’s normal. I’ve been busy with college, working on some assignments and projects... just living life.

Well that's it

Thanks a lot for reading, and...

bye :)
